President Jokowi Back to the bad path. If in the past visited the damaged roads in Lampung, now Jambi who gets a role.
On Tuesday (16/5/2023), Jokowi checked the damaged road in Jambi-Sungai Jelam City Section, Mwaro Jambi, in a sedan with “Indonesia 1” plate. During the examination, Jokowi was accompanied by PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono to the Gambian Governor Sentinel.
Not only using a car, Jokowi and his entourage walked along the roads that were badly damaged. The road looks unpaved and uneven. Some holes filled with puddles were also seen.
“It was badly damaged, people felt it themselves, I have to move it,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi even had time to change course from the one he was traversing originally. As you can see, the road is badly damaged. Initially, Jokowi’s entourage led the Jambi City Boundary National Road to the port of Talang Dukuh, Muaro Jambi Regency.
After traveling for about an hour, Jokowi’s group reached Talang Dukuh Harbour. However, when he was about to turn around on the way back, Jokowi asked for the opposite direction. On this road, the road looks bad. Jokowi was even seen getting out of the car to see firsthand the damage to Regency Road.
This damaged road in Jambi must be repaired. The government records these affected road segments and coordinates with stakeholders.
“This is based on data from the Ministry of Public Works, the data that I have, from the community and also from confirmation from the governor, to the guardian of all of us, and what is most important for us is that corrective steps must be taken,” Jokowi said.
