Pemindahan IKN Tetap Dilaksanakan Presiden Setelah Jokowi

Jakarta

Indonesian People’s Advisory Council Chairman Bambang Soesatyo confirmed that the relocation and construction of the archipelago’s national capital (IKN) from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan will continue. However, Joko Widodo no longer holds the position of President.

“Currently, the transfer and development of the IKN archipelago is stipulated in Law No. 3 of 2022 regarding the state capital. The Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly will strengthen this legal basis to ensure that the transfer of the Nusantara IKN continues to be carried out by the president who takes office after President Jokowi. One of them is Through the State Guidelines (PPHN) currently being prepared by the Indonesian MPR.”

At present, Nusantara IKN construction is about 27 percent. The APBN will bear about 30 percent of the estimated total budget of IDR 466 trillion. The remaining 70 percent or about an additional 300 trillion rupees will be acquired through investors, both from inside and outside the country.

At the Maekyung Forum of South Korea Indonesia, the vice-chairman of the Golkar party appreciated the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and South Korea that have existed for 50 years. Much cooperation has been achieved between the two countries. However, there are a lot of cooperation prospects that can be improved in various fields.

For example, in the automotive sector, due to the development and ecosystem of electric vehicles, it is now a global trend. Indonesia as the world’s largest producer of nickel has an important role in the development of electric vehicle battery industry in Indonesia.

“The agricultural sector also has development potential. As an agricultural country, the agricultural sector contributed 12.91 percent of the total national gross domestic product, and absorbed more than 27 percent of the labor force. Likewise in the maritime sector. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia is not rich in marine resources and biodiversity Not only that, but it also enjoys a geostrategic location as a major sea route for international trade.”

The Chairman of the 20th Session of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea said that the theme of holding the Maekyung Indonesia Forum, “Stronger Partnership for the Hotbed of Growth” implies optimism which is very much in line with the policy orientations of the Indonesian presidency in ASEAN this year, namely making ASEAN the center (hotspot) of growth.

This optimism is not excessive, considering that in the past decade, the average economic growth of ASEAN countries was 3.98 percent. Or 1.38% above average global economic growth.

“We hope that the positive trend of ASEAN economic growth will also influence and have a positive impact on increasing cooperation between ASEAN countries and various other countries, including South Korea. We are grateful that since January 1, 2023, Indonesia and Korea or the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Indonesia and the Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement officially entered into force.”

Among the activities this time were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjitan, Minister for Investment/Investment Coordination Agency (BKPM) Pehlil Ladalia, and South Korea’s Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Chung Hwang-kyun.

Also present at the session were South Korean First Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Jang Yong-jin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the Korean National Assembly Kim Tae-ho, Chairman of the Maekyeong Media Group Chang Dae-wan and President. KOTRA (Korea Yu Jung Yeol Trade Investment Promotion Agency.
