Vice President (Wepress) Ma’ruf Amin spoke about it Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua that lasts. Marouf said the government will increase efforts to protect the people and sovereignty of Indonesia.
Marouf initially said that there are six vulnerable regions in Papua. There are three regions in Central Papua, and three more regions in the Papua Highlands. Marouf did not specify which of the six provinces.

For the six provinces, Ma’ruf said, increased efforts will be made to protect Indonesian society and sovereignty. He particularly followed the intervention of the separatist terrorist group.
“Maybe for these six provinces, we will kind of increase efforts to protect the community as well as protect the sovereignty of the unified state of the Republic of Indonesia and the KST. Separatist terrorist groups. We call them KST, the terrorist separatist groups,” he said.
“So for those six counties, maybe we can do some kind of protection effort with safer operations, that’s the strategy. That’s more anticipation going forward,” Maarouf added.
Meanwhile, Maarouf said a natural approach will be taken in other regions. For example, such as a regular security application.
“In other normal areas, our approach is welfare and security as usual,” he concluded.
