President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave his appreciation for the struggle of young Indonesian soccer players to beat Thailand in the Sea Games 2023 And he won a gold medal. Jokowi described the match as extraordinary.
“The struggle of young Indonesian soccer players at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia tonight is quite extraordinary,” Jokowi said in a post on his Instagram account @jokowi as seen by Detik Com on Tuesday (16/5/2023).
Jokowi said the match against Thailand tonight was very exciting. Jokowi said the match was full of red cards, not only because he was overwhelmed with beautiful goals
“A dramatic match stained with a rain of red cards and yellow cards, beautiful goals even in seconds of extra time, presented in 120 minutes,” he said.
Jokowi He also praised Garuda Muda Indonesia for awarding a gold medal in football to Indonesia. He described this struggle as a decades-long wait.
“Tonight, Garuda Muda’s team delivered the gold medal in football from the 2023 Southeast Asian Games, defeating the mighty Thai team 5-2 in the final. A long wait of 32 years has paid off,” Jokowi said.
It should be noted that Indonesia finally won the gold medal from the Cambodia sub-football of the 2023 SEA Games. Success came after defeating Thailand 5-2 in the final.
In the football final of the 2023 SEA tournament, the Indonesian national under-22 team defeated Thailand 5-2 at the Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on Tuesday (16/5). Indra Sjafri’s two goals were bought by Ramadhan Sananta in the first half.
