CNN reported, Tuesday (16/5/2023), that the victim is named Ana Moreno. The 39-year-old woman was driving her car with her teenage daughter when she was suddenly hit by a stray bullet at around 16.00 local time.

The Dallas Police Department said the victim was caught between the cars, which were shooting at each other. “People in two other vehicles shot each other while driving,” local police said.

Besides Ana Moreno, three other men were injured in the accident and are in critical condition at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, one of Moreno’s daughters, Michelle Rodriguez, told CNN affiliate WFAA that her mother was shot while sitting next to her sister. They were going to pick up her prom dress.

“Anything you want from a mom, here it is,” Rodriguez says.

“It wasn’t the right time, it shouldn’t have been. And it was for such a stupid thing. How could you do that to an innocent person?” He completed.

So far, the police have not made any arrests in this case. CNN has contacted the Dallas Police Department for an update on the shooting.
