The participants raid a dungeon in episode 23 of ‘Sousou no Frieren’ titled “Conquering the Labyrinth.” Sense is the proctor of the second test and will accompany the participants down the dungeon as they raid it for their second test.

However, Sense is a pacifist and does not want mages with potential to die, so she gives them a way out. She chooses to accompany Frieren and Fern down to the bottom level. Here are the latest updates.

2. Episode 24 Speculation

Most participants are nearing the bottom level, which means the difficulty level will increase. Wirbel, Ehre, and Scharf have encountered their own replicas, which makes them realize why Ruins of the King’s Tomb has never been countered before.

The replicas are crafted to perfection, with the mana and skills to match. Even their behavior is the same, making it hard to defeat them. However, the worst part is Frieren’s replica. 3. Recap of episode 23

Sense congratulates all the eighteen participants who cleared the first round and expects people worthy of being first-class mages to clear the next round easily. The next test is to raid the Ruins of the King’s Tomb and reach the deepest floor.

Sense will accompany them, but she won’t help. She also hands them golems, who will carry participants out if needed, but that will signify failure. The time limit is the next day’s dawn, and Sense decides to accompany Frieren and Fern.

Himmel loved dungeons, so Frieren is used to traversing them. Denken wanted everyone to work together, but people were left on their own. However, he teams up with the remaining people, and they go inside.

Frieren falls for traps, and Fern doesn’t seem surprised by her behavior, bewildering Sense. Denken’s group gets attacked by Gargoyles, and they fight their way out, but one gets trapped. They have no choice but to break the bottle, and the golem carries them to safety.

Frieren finally pulls herself together, and they move forward. Frieren, Fern, and Sense have been progressing smoothly, much to their surprise. Sense doesn’t understand Fern as she is very talented but has no determination or passion. 

Fern reveals that she became a mage to repay a debt, which is why she is so skilled. She still continues searching for magic because it makes Frieren happy, and she likes seeing her happy. 

All the mages encounter their own replicas, which possess high-level skills. Everyone gets attacked by the replicas and begins fighting. However, Denken’s team encounters Frieren’s replica, and he admits that if this weren’t a test, he would have broken his golem bottle.
