Ang spoke at length about how Tech’s death affected Omega. She mentioned that it was awful for her to deal with as well. She revealed that there’s a lot happening in season 3, and Omega can now do all these little tasks that Tech taught her. Tech’s legacy lives on through Omega.

It’s not like we could dwell on that as a story point because there’s so much happening in season three that there’s definitely a shade of that through everything. And it’s kind of beautiful in a way because the legacy of Tech is that Omega can do all these tasks that he’s taught her like using iPads to open doors and understand systems and pilot strange vehicles. So all of the horrible lesson training that Tech put her through have their payoff in season three.

In her interview, Ang also explained if Omega will discover the cloning secrets of the Empire. She said that Dr Hemlock is a mastermind and keeps everything close to him. Nala Se is aware of some of it but does not want Omega to know more.

It is up to Omega and The Bad Batch to find their answers themselves, and it will not be easy. However, it is important to find these answers for Omega to realize that she has a big role to play in the larger scheme of things.

Ang also spoke about Omega’s dynamic with Crosshair. Here’s the quote:

Oh, yes. Good old Crosshair. He’s more sour than ever. Not his fault, though. He has been through the ringer and I don’t think Omega’s ever really given up on him, but she is delighted to figure out that he is there and therefore will be rescued by her because obviously she wouldn’t leave without him.

Ang also said that she would love to see a real-life visualization of Omega. She referred to shows like Ahsoka, which have done a great job.
