incident Traffic occurs on Jagorawi Toll Road. A truck hit a pole at Ciawi Toll Gate (GT), Bogor Regency, West Java (West Java).
“Losses of lightning bolt rushing, tilting goalposts and displacement of guide panels,” said PJR Jagorawi Toll Road Party Chairman AKP Budi Hermawan in his statement, on Tuesday (16/5/2023).
The incident occurred at 09.42 WIB this morning. It is believed that the cause of the accident was a failure of the truck’s brakes.
“The factors that influence (cause) brake failure,” he said.
The accident started when the truck was traveling from Bogor to Jakarta. The driver, upon arrival at the crime scene, admitted that the brakes had failed.
“Then he lost control and hit the goal post and a thunderbolt slammed into the 07 GT Ciawi 2 substation,” he said.
The final position of the truck’s head was tilted westward at substation 07 GT Ciawi 2. No fatalities were reported in the accident.
“The car was taken to Siawi,” Bodhi concluded.
