Erwan Fikri resigned from his post as Deputy Governor of Agam, West Sumatra. Erwan resigned because he did not get along with Regent Andre Warman.

Erwan told reporters on Monday (15/5/2023), “Since our inauguration, our relationship has not been harmonious.”
He said that disharmony with the regent created a bad perception of him in the community. He said his resignation was for the sake of continuity of management of Agam Regency
“For the continuation of the government of Agamem Regency, resignation is the step I must take,” he said.
Democratic response
On the other hand, the West Sumatra Democratic Party expressed support for Erwan Fikri’s decision to choose to resign from his position as deputy regent of Ajam. Support Democrats as long as decisions are made in the interest and interest of society.
West Sumatra Democratic Party DPD Chairman Mouladi said on Monday (5/15/2023).
Mouladi admitted that he had received a notice of resignation. However, he does not know in detail why Erwan Fikri chose this path.
“We have reported. In detail (we) do not know the reason. But it relates to the duties of the Deputy Regent which cannot be carried out optimally due to the obstruction of the Regional Chief. He has chosen to sacrifice personal interests, rather than not being able to serve the community optimally.” If the decision becomes final, we cannot prevent it anyway.
