An exciting moment occurred when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Inspection of damaged roads in Jambi. Jokowi suddenly asked to change lanes from the road he was supposed to take.

This act took place when Jokowi inspected Jambi Border City National Road leading to Talang Dukuh Port, Muaro Jambi Regency, on Tuesday (5/16/2023). Jokowi In a car with Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hademolejono during an inspection.

For information, many residents complain of this road because of the heavy congestion of coal mine vehicles heading to the port of Thalang Dokoh at night due to the presence of coal trucks.

After traveling for about an hour, Jokowi’s group reached Talang Dukuh Harbour. However, when he was about to turn around on the way back, Jokowi asked for the opposite direction.

Acting on a tip from the chief photographer, Agus Suparto, who was also in the group, Jokowi suddenly told the car to turn off the lane it should have been on after going around the Talang Jambi container port.

On this road, the road looks bad. Jokowi I even saw get out of the car to see first hand the damage to the road.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hedimuljono said that although the road is a Regency road, the central government will implement the reforms.

“This is a local road, we will fix it for two kilometers,” Basuki said.

Basuki said the road was already being used by trucks hauling coal.
