President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today checking the damaged roads in Jambi. Jokowi said repairs to damaged roads in Jambi would also be undertaken by the central government.

Jokowi stated in detail, that in Jambi Province, there were 4,600 kilometers of damaged neighborhood and city roads. Then, for regional roads, there are 250 kilometers of damaged roads. Regarding national roads, Jokowi said 130 kilometers of roads were damaged.
“In Jambi district, there are nine districts and two cities. If we look at the data, there are 10,000 km of regency roads, of which about 4,600 are damaged. Almost half of them are damaged, regency, city roads. Then there are 1,030 km of district roads damaged 250 km, 25%, a quarter,” Jokowi said.
He added, “There are 1,300 national roads (km), of which 130 km were damaged.”
Jokowi stressed the importance of road reforms, especially logistics and production routes. Therefore, go ahead, the road must be repaired immediately.
“if no, The so-called logistics route is very important, the so-called production route is so important that it takes priority especially when it is badly damaged. “It must be done immediately,” he said.
Jokowi also clarified the issue of synchronizing road repairs between the central and local governments in Jambi. Jokowi He said, in fact local governments already have their own parts. But unfortunately, until now there are still many provincial roads or guardianship / city roads that have not yet been repaired.
“There is a lot of damage done by the regions, which the center has done, permanent I have not finished yet. It must be done by all regions, the same county, the same prefecture, but because the roads throughout the country are part of the district, city and county. I said earlier that half of it is done together, not necessarily finished. Maybe in two or three years we will catch up as soon as possible,” Jokowi said.
