Penumpang Wanita Diduga Dilecehkan, TransJ Dampingi Korban Lapor Polisi

Two women were said to have been victims of sexual harassment while riding the bus Trans Jakarta (Trans J). The perpetrator was immediately arrested by TransJ officers.

The accident occurred on Monday (15/5) yesterday evening. A Trans Jamaican officer also accompanied the victim in reporting the alleged harassment to the police.

Pramusaba Transjakarta immediately took appropriate action standard operating procedures (SOP) by securing suspected perpetrators of sexual harassment,” TransJakarta’s Head of Communications and CSR Department, Wibowo, said on call, on Tuesday (16/5/2023).

Wibowo said that this sexual harassment incident was reported to the police by the company of Trans Jakarta. The harassment occurred on Monday (15/5) at 18.04 WIB on the TransJakarta bus on Tosari Road towards Pulogadung.

The two victims were immediately reported to the officers on the Trans Jakarta bus. The officers immediately arrested the perpetrator and took him to the police.

“Based on the information, at the Matraman 2 bus station, the suspected victim of sexual harassment reported it to the maid,” Wibowo said.

The incident was recorded by another TransJ passenger and the video went viral on social media. In the circulating video, you can watch the woman suspected of being a victim push and beat a man they suspect is the perpetrator of sexual harassment.

Then a trans gay concierge officer who was at the door of the bus grabbed the man suspected of sexual harassment. The alleged sexual harassment incident caught the attention of other passengers.

“Then the suspected perpetrators of sexual harassment were secured by TransJakarta Pramusaba. They were then transferred to the authorities with TransJakarta for follow-up,” he said.
