Minister of Agricultural Affairs and Spatial Planning / Head of the National Land Agency (ATR / BPN) Hedi Tagantou visited KPK. Hadi came with his wife and a number of ATR/BPN Ministry officials.
KPK Deputy for Education and Community Engagement Wawan Wardiana said his party held a meeting with the ATR/BPN ministry regarding the anti-corruption programme. This program includes spouses of government officials.
“This program has three phases. The first phase is today to invite the Minister, the Deputy Minister and all the first ranks of the ATR/BPN Ministry and their partners to come here. The activities are Executive briefingWawan said at the KPK Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (5/16/2023).
Wawan said that Grade 1 and their spouses will attend the Building Integrity training. In the last phase, the first level in the Ministry of ATR / BPN will participate in the Government Administrative Building Integrity Training Certificate.
According to Wawan, his party has already engaged spouses of state officials in anti-corruption education. He said that this came in response to a number of corruption cases involving the spouses of officials.
“This is an effort by the KPK by teaching, of course, how to improve and strengthen the integrity of these state officials, as well as their spouses. Because we know that many of the cases that KPK handled also involved the spouses of these government officials,” Wawan said.
Minister Hadi said that anti-corruption education from KPK was very important for ATR/BPN Ministry officials and their spouses. The training was considered to be provision for ATR/BPN officials in their duties.
“This debriefing is very important for mitigating bad intentions, especially in the family environment itself. So having the ladies and gentlemen, father and wife here, really provides input and an overview, so that we all, and especially in the ministry we have an obligation to prevent bad behaviour.”
Hadi said that the ATR/BPN Ministry has prepared a system to prevent corruption. However, this policy must be supported by HR integrity.
“With any system that ATR/BPN is currently building, by digitizing it with an electronic system, but if HR is not prepared, corrupt behavior will certainly be implemented due to many methods,” Hadi said.
