1. It’s 20.30 WIB
Kasubbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda DIY AKBP Verena SW said that at 20.30 WIB in Padukuhan Wuni, Nglindur, Girisubo, Gunungkidul, a Hamlet cleaning program was held accompanied by musical performances.
2. It’s 22.30 WIB
Verena said there was a commotion at 22.30 WIB. During the commotion, the weapon carried by a police officer with the initials Brigadier General MK struck the victim and caused the victim’s death.
“At around 22.30 WIB, there was a commotion among the audience,” Verena told reporters on Monday (15/5/2023).
3. It’s 23.00 WIB
There was the sound of a gunshot fired by the brigadier general, the MK. Police said the bullet hit Aldi.
“At approximately 23:00 WIB, an explosion occurred in the firearm carried by Bryptu MK which injured Aldi Apriyanto’s brother, causing the death of the person concerned,” explained Subbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda DIY President Verena SW.
Aldi immediately lost consciousness and was taken to Woonusari Regional General Hospital by residents. Unfortunately, Aldi’s life could not be saved.

The position of the victim when shooting
An eyewitness and a friend of the victim, Deri Saputra, recounted the moments when Aldi was hit by a police gun. He said Aldi’s position was public-facing because Aldi was one of the organizers of the event.
He said on Monday (5/15/2023): “He was in a sitting position in front of the podium. So, at the spot where he was shot, he was next to me. So with one stroke, he lay down.”
Meanwhile, Manungal Putra Karang Taruna in his district held a missing event in addition to cleaning up the lake, said Dokoh Wony, David Norvyanto. During the event, there was rioting among the audience so armed police intervened.
“Outside the commission area there was a riot, probably whether there was a deliberate element or not, it was from one of the police officers and he was carrying a gun, the trigger was pulled and one of my residents was shot to death,” he said. David, Monday (5/15/2023).
The victim was sitting under the platform in front of the fence. After the shooting, Aldi was found lying in front of the stage.
David continued, “His sign (the victim) was still wearing the Commission’s identification necklace, and after he was shot the victim was unconscious. After the accident he was immediately taken to the hospital and to the hospital and even there the victim was unable to be helped.”

Gunungkidol Police Chief AKP Eddie Bagus apologized for the incident. He also expressed his condolences on the death of 19-year-old Aldi Abrianto during a musical performance in Gunungkidol, Central Java.

Apart from that, Polda DIY also apologized for the incident. Aldi was said to have died because he had been shot by a police officer’s gun.
