Chained Soldier Episode 8: Release date, Preview

In episode 7 of “Chained Soldier”, titled “United Front, Tenka, Soar,”  we are shown the terrifying strength of the sixth squadron’s commander. She has the ability to tear space, allowing her to teleport and create things as horrifying as a black hole. She used her powers to overpower the humanoid shukki and end the battle.

The next day, Kyouka, Himari, and Yukki visited the sixth squad’s dorm since Kyouka had a meeting with Izumo about the enemy generals. The existence of four generals has been confirmed, and there’s a possibility that there is more. It is soon confirmed after we see the hideout of the enemy. There are a total of 8 generals, according to Shikoku, one of the generals. 

1. Episode 8 Release Date

Episode 8 of “Chained Soldier” will be released on Thursday, February 22, 2024. New episodes are released every Thursday. You can watch the new episode as soon as it is released on HIDIVE.

I. Is “Chained Soldier” on a Break?

No, “Chained Soldier” is not on a break this week, and Episode 8 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.

2. Episode 8 Speculation

Episode 7 showed how much stronger the commanders of each squadron are when compared to the other members. Tenka Izumo can literally tear apart space and reshape it, which makes her insanely strong. After the confrontation with the humanoid shuuki, along with Kyouka, she decided to launch the first hit instead of waiting for them to strike.

In episode 8, the two squadrons are going to work together and investigate the cavern, where they encountered the first humanoid, which may be Yukki’s sister. Any lead they find can be useful. We also know that there are four more humanoids we haven’t seen yet. A war will take place if the demon defense corpse can not locate the enemy hideout and stop the eight of them from gathering. Rairen, the one humanoid that was supposed to be dead, is alive and well, thanks to Shikoku’s ability to teleport.

3. Recap of Episode 7

We see how strong Tenka Izumo is right from the beginning. Her ability is named “Ame-no-Mitori,” and has the terrifying power to control space around her however she wants to. She can use it to teleport anything and even create black holes, tearing the space apart. Using this, she wiped a horde of shuukis in the blink of an eye.

As she started fighting the enemy commander, she dodged all of its attacks like she was playing tag. Getting annoyed, the humanoid monster unleashed 100% of his power and launched a barrage of lightning strikes on Izumo. Normally, that would annihilate anything in that area, but Izumo just stood there without a scratch.

She teleported behind the monster and, with one punch, sent him high up in the air, rendering him immobile. Now that the monster was defenseless, Izumo conjured a black hole that sucked him in. After the battle ended, all the members of both squadrons gathered in the dorms to talk about the generals. So far, the existence of four generals has been confirmed.

The next day, Kyouka, Himari, and Yukki head over to the sixth squadron’s dorms. While Kyouka and Izumo were having a meeting, Yukki was helping around the dorm as asked. He got in a few weird situations when he had to do the laundry and wake Sahara up, but the weirdest was what he discovered in Yachiho’s room. The whole room was filled with Himari’s pictures.

Back in the meeting, Izumo told Koyouka that she wasn’t sure if her attack truly killed the humanoid shuuki. Just after she says this, we see the hideout of these enemy generals and get introduced to the generals themselves. The one that Izumo fought was named Rairen, and the two Nei spotted were named Shikoku and Jouryuu.

According to Shikoku, Rairen wanted to launch a full-scale attack on the demon defense corps, but now that they know how strong the commanders can be, they have to cancel that plan. Jouryuu supported Shikoku’s decision. Shikoku also said that they would wait until all eight of them had gathered and then attack the demon defense corps.

Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) is a manga series by Takahiro and illustrated by Yohei Takemura.

Mysterious entrances to the ‘Mato’ dimension appeared, threatning humans by the arrival of monsters called Shuuki. Hope came in the form of Mato fruit that gave superpowers to women who formed a matriarchal government, throwing men at the bottom of the social ladder.

During such times, the protagonist Yuuki met Kyouka, chief of the Anti-Demon Corps’ Seventh squad who made him his slave.

The anime adaptation will air sometime in 2023.
