BP2MI Together with the Immigration Department and the Swata Airport Police, they managed to prevent the departure of 10 people Potential Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI). The 10 people will be left for Saudi Arabia not according to the procedure.
BP2MI’s principal secretary, Rinardi, said the failure of CPMI’s departure began with information from the public. The same failure was implemented on Saturday (5/13).
“On Saturday, May 13, 2023 at approximately 12:00 WIB based on information from the public, a team consisting of BP2MI, Immigration and Airport Police succeeded in carrying out the interdiction of 10 potential Indonesian migrant workers who would be illegally or non-procedurally recruited,” the secretary said. BP2MI Principal, Renardi, at press conference in Tangerang, Tue (5/16/2023).
At first, airport officials were suspicious of the group of women who were CPMI’s when they wanted to go abroad. The CPMI group investigated their identities and documents, but could only produce passports.
“However, these potential Indonesian migrant workers can only show their passports and tickets to Jakarta-Colombo and Colombo-Riyadh without other documents of Indonesian migrant workers,” he said.
Rinardi revealed that the CPMI had been recruited by brokers in the village with promises of between 4.5 million rupees and 15 million rupees. Meanwhile, CPMI was instructed to answer that they were going abroad for a holiday when asked by airport officials.
“Potential migrant workers are being recruited by brokers in the village with the promise of a large salary and the sum of 4.5 million to 15 million,” he said.
Furthermore, all of these ten women are from West Java Province. Their average age was 32 and the youngest was 22
“The identities of the 10 potential Indonesian migrant workers are women from West Java province with an average age of 32 and the youngest being 22,” he said.
