KPK reported that the case file for the alleged bribery case AKBP Bambang Kayun completed. KPK Bambang Kayun and the evidence were handed over to the Central Jakarta (PN) District Court for trial.
“KPK Prosecutor Januar Dwi Nugroho has finished handing over the case files and the indictment of the defendant Bambang Kayun to the Corruption Court of the Central Jakarta District Court,” Head of Reporting Unit of KPK Ali Fikri told reporters on Tuesday (16/5/2023). .
Ali said that the KPK prosecutor charged Bambang Kayon with the article on accepting bribes. Bambang Kayon is suspected of taking bribes worth tens of billions of rupees.
“The KPK prosecution team is tasked with accepting bribes of IDR 57.1 billion,” he said.
Bambang Kayon’s detention has been transferred to the Jakarta Central Corruption Court. KPK awaits the schedule for Bambang Kayun’s first trial.
“Moreover, the public prosecutor’s team is waiting to set the day of the trial with an agenda for reading the indictment,” Ali said.

The KPK has named Bambang Kayun as a suspect in the bribery and kickback cases. This action was carried out by Bambang Kayon while he was still serving as Chief of the Criminal Enforcement and Human Rights Subsection of the Law Enforcement Section of the Legal Aid Office, National Police Headquarters Legal Division.
KPK Chairman Firli said the case was uncovered starting with a report in Bareskrim Polri regarding letter fraud in the struggle for the heirs of PT ACM in 2016. At that time, Bambang Kayun used his position to help parties reported with the initials ES and HW.
From the results of the investigation conducted by the KPK investigator team, AKBP Bambang Kayun is suspected of receiving a flow of funds totaling IDR 50 billion from a number of parties as a form of reward.
“The suspect BK obtained money in stages, suspected of being gratuities and related to his position, from various parties amounting to about 50 billion rupees,” Fairlie told reporters on Tuesday (3/1).
