Di Unissula, Ma’ruf Cahyono Paparkan Pentingnya Regulasi Cegah KDRT

Honorary Professor of Constitutional Law at Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) Marouf Kayono, SH, MH, He says Domestic violence (KDRT) will have a wide impact, especially on children. He also explained the importance of regulations to prevent domestic violence and protect children.

Marouf said when she became the keynote speaker or keynote speaker at an international conference in Unissula, Semarang, Tuesday (16/5/2023).

He said children can be affected both psychologically and physically. Children who grow up in violent environments are also considered capable of imitating and committing violence in the future. It also provided data on various cases of domestic violence and violence against children.

He continued, “Children who are accustomed to living with violence will learn that violence is a natural way to solve problems, that it is permissible, and perhaps even should be done.”

Therefore, Maarouf considers it important to prevent domestic violence and protect children. Prevention can be done through awareness and reduced to regulation.

According to him, in constitutional terms, Indonesia already has a complete 1945 constitution and Pancasila and regulates protection from any form of violence. He asked the academics present to be able to continue spreading this philosophy in order to raise awareness among the people.

“All forms of violence, especially domestic violence, are violations of human rights and crimes against human dignity as well as forms of discrimination. The state’s commitment to eliminating domestic violence has been implemented for nearly nineteen years, specifically by Law No. 23 of 2004 regarding the judiciary on domestic violence.”

He added that the state has also enacted laws related to the crime of human trafficking and the eradication of sexual violence. It is considered capable of completing the protection of women and children.

He continued, “If the regulations are considered to have full values, then we already have a way to implement the spirit of these organizational values ​​where there are gaps, of course that needs to be addressed and we will look at it together.”

It is known that the event which is a collaboration between MPR RI and Unissula is important for its implementation. Especially for the future of children in Indonesia and Indonesia itself.

“With domestic violence or violence against children, special attention must be paid to prevention. The second is that protection must be maintained like the next generation so that future superior humans can certainly meet our expectations. Moreover, in the future, the demographic bonus requires effort to find out situation. To improve the quality of our human resources.”

For information, this event also invited many professors from abroad to be speakers. Among them is Professor Byun Heechul of Hankook University. Professor Shimada Yuzuru of Nagoya University. a. Faruk Kerem Ceyray of Istanbul University. Professor Henk Adink of the University of Utrich. Prof. Henning Glaser, Director of CP Germany; assistant. Professor Azam, from UUM Malaysia; and Fatima Naik Wadi, Ph.D. from Sultan Agung Islamic University.
