Police have arrested 22 people suspected of sympathy An armed criminal group (KKB) in Jehokimo, Papua Highlands. Police are still investigating KKB sympathizers.
“It is true, 22 people suspected of KKB sympathies have been detained in Yahokimo,” said Papua Police Public Relations Chief Kumbis Ignatius Bene Adde Prabowo, as reported by Antara. detikSulselTuesday (16/5/2023).
KKB sympathizers were arrested at Opio Complex, Agriculture Street, Dhakai District, Yahokimo Regency, at 02.54 EST this afternoon. Combs Penney said the arrest was based on allegations that 22 KKB sympathizers were involved in a number of terrorist acts.
“Currently, they are being investigated to verify their involvement in a number of terrorist acts that the KKB has carried out so far,” Benny said.
However, Benny did not elaborate further regarding the series of terrorist acts involved. He said the Yahokimo police team is still conducting thorough investigations.
